{"id":2728,"date":"2015-07-27T11:24:46","date_gmt":"2015-07-27T09:24:46","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2019-02-19T16:35:28","modified_gmt":"2019-02-19T14:35:28","slug":"tops-corporate-challenge-the-final","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fishbook.co.za\/?p=2728","title":{"rendered":"TOPS Corporate Challenge &#8211; The Final"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">What a weekend\u2026 4 seasons in 48 hours\u2026 It certainly separated the rabid fly fishers from the fair weathered fisherman.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">And a lot of Partycipation at the TOPS Corporate Challenge as one has come to expect from this fly fishing festival.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">These gatherings are never short of a fishing story about losing big fish, but the sympathy card was definitely drawn by&nbsp;Richard Scott of Team Afriguide Logistics &nbsp;who, having caught a beast that would have seen him walking away with a R250 000 Explorer Ski Boat from Yamaha, couldn\u2019t keep it in his net and this monster of a Brown Trout somersaulted away from him, as reported by his fellow contestants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Despite the miserable conditions an impressive 437 Trout made it to the net, which coupled with fish landed in the qualifying legs brought the tally to 1801 catches.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a class=\"easyblog-thumb-preview\"  href=\"images\/easyblog_images\/47\/aef3a174c090680e923cbdfb.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"  src=\"http:\/\/www.fishbook.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/b2ap3_thumbnail_aef3a174c090680e923cbdfb.jpg\" alt=\"b2ap3_thumbnail_aef3a174c090680e923cbdfb.jpg\" height=\"300\" width=\"400\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The tagged fish would have seen someone driving away in a brand new Jeep Wrangler, but despite 16 anglers putting in 20 hours of fishing, this R450 000 fish is still swimming in the WildFly waters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><a class=\"easyblog-thumb-preview\"  href=\"images\/easyblog_images\/47\/IMG_7670.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"  src=\"http:\/\/www.fishbook.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/b2ap3_thumbnail_IMG_7670.JPG\" alt=\"b2ap3_thumbnail_IMG_7670.JPG\" height=\"266\" width=\"400\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The largest fish was caught by Neil Westerhoff from the Paarl Media team, a 63cm Rainbow Trout earning himself a brand new Quintrex Boat for such a magnificent specimen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The final scores saw &nbsp;team Stealth taking the Bronze, the Zimmerframes narrowly missing out on the title( by a single fish) and Team Suthile being crowned as the 2015 TOPS Corporate Challenge Champions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What a weekend\u2026 4 seasons in 48 hours\u2026 It certainly separated the rabid fly fishers from the fair weathered fisherman.
